About Louisa Waalkes

Louisa Waalkes is an associate who works from the Hoorn office. She has a background in general legal practice and extensive experience in areas such as contract law, liability law, procurement law and construction law, in which she advises and litigates. After several years working as a corporate lawyer for companies in the renewable energy sector, her focus in recent years has also shifted to include administrative and environmental law (e.g. European waste law) and the various legal aspects of innovative sustainability initiatives and projects. She also advises and litigates in these areas of law, including on government policies and decisions. More specifically, the cases relate to licensing, pollution and other environmental issues and their enforcement.

Louisa Waalkes has specific experience in environmental law in a broad sense, advising and litigating for companies in the waste and recycling sectors, industrial companies and sectoral associations in these fields. Her experience in general legal practice is also often applied in this regard as there is frequently an overlap between multiple areas of law, both civil and administrative, in these cases.

Louisa Waalkes lives in Enkhuizen and has two daughters. In her spare time, she can often be found on the water with her boat or in the park playing outdoor sports and keeping up her fitness.
