About Martin de Jong

Martin de Jong is a partner and works in the Utrecht office, specialising in employment law. He advises, helps find the best solution and litigates where appropriate in the broad field of collective and individual employment law. This could include the unilateral amendment of employment contracts, proceedings on pension schemes, employee representation issues, legal support in negotiations about collective labour agreements, strikes and dismissal issues. He works for small and large employers as well as employees. Martin de Jong has held several positions involving employment law: as a journalist, HR professional, corporate lawyer at Heineken and lawyer. He knows employment law from all sides and in all its facets. He heads the Employment Law practice group.

Martin de Jong lives with his family in the centre of Utrecht. Martin is keen on sports in his spare time, playing golf, running and following his club FC Utrecht.

  • Litigating in provisional relief proceedings against unions in connection with organised strikes.
  • Advising and litigating for employers in connection with the summary dismissal of fraudulent employees.
