Michiel van der Hoeven has specialised in insolvency law and corporate law. Michiel is regularly appointed by the court as a trustee in bankruptcies. He also advises and litigates on various issues touching on bankruptcy, such as restructuring, relaunch from bankruptcy, directors' liability, security and fraudulent preferences.
In addition, Michiel advises companies on, and assists them in, corporate law issues, e.g. in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, drafting shareholder agreements, corporate governance, financing, (commercial) contracts and disputes.
Michiel grew up in the Arnhem Nijmegen region and now lives in Utrecht. In his spare time, he enjoys sports: padel, tennis, running and bicycle racing.
