About the position

If lawyer -employee in Amsterdam You will be part of the Corporate M&A team, which consists of six people. Eight other lawyers with this expertise work at other offices, with whom you can always brainstorm. Additionally, you will collaborate with experienced specialists outside your area of ​​expertise, thereby playing a key role. We work based on trust, responsibility, and a great deal of personal freedom.

You are involved with:

• all aspects of the transaction practice, including conducting and coordinating due diligence investigations, drafting and reviewing (purchase and shareholder) agreements, and advising during negotiations;
• advising medium-sized and large enterprises, shareholders, and management on corporate law issues, corporate governance, restructurings, and joint ventures;
• managing and guiding junior colleagues and contributing to efficient file organization and planning;
• contributing to knowledge sharing and practice development, for example through internal presentations, writing updates/articles, and maintaining relationships.

In our practice, you have direct contact with the client and play an active role in the entire process: from initial meeting to closing.

Who are you?

We're looking for someone with strong technical skills who aligns well with our approach: professional, personable, and with an entrepreneurial spirit. You'll have plenty of space and freedom within our office, so we're looking for people who are proactive and independent.

You have:

- a completed university degree in Dutch law and you are lawyer in the Netherlands;
- 3 to 6 years of relevant work experience within the legal profession in Corporate M&A / transaction practice;
- demonstrable experience with due diligence and drafting/negotiating transaction documentation;
- an excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
- a proactive, level-headed and committed attitude;
- good communication skills;
- team spirit and a healthy dose of humor.
