Vivian is sinds mei 2024 verbonden aan de vestiging in Utrecht en zet zich civiel-breed in, met de nadruk op Arbeidsrechtelijke geschillen en Ondernemingsrechtelijke adviseringen. Haar ervaring als kandidaat-notaris bij commerciële vastgoedtransacties en grote Due Diligence/KYC uitvragen en als (ZZP) Legal Counsel bij een grote financiële instelling / hypotheekverstrekker geeft haar een scherpe analytische en tegelijk pragmatische invalshoek bij de aanpak van uiteenlopende kwesties. Vivian denkt graag met u mee en overziet zowel de juridische aandachtspunten als de overstijgende consequenties van uw volgende zet. Naar de zakelijke oplossing toewerken vanuit een mensgerichte aanpak, oog voor detail én voor het grotere plaatje.
Geboren en getogen is Vivian in de omgeving van Bonn, Duitsland, waardoor zij ook de Duitse taal machtig is en ook Duitse cliënten in hun vertrouwde taal kan bijstaan. Vanaf 2008 woont zij in Nederland en sinds 2014 met veel plezier in Utrecht, inmiddels in hartje centrum. Ze is hier vaak te vinden tijdens het hardlopen, terrassen of bij vrienden thuis om samen te koken en tafelen. Voor Vivian is maatschappelijke betrokkenheid erg belangrijk. In haar studententijd vervulde ze daarom verschillende commissies voor de juridische studieverenigingen en ondersteunde ze matchingdagen bij haar Universiteit. Intussen is zij actief bij de Jonge Balie en in 2024 was ze Voorzitter bij de SJBN Congrescommissie, waarmee zij een congres organiseerde voor circa 1.000 jonge advocaten. Ook heeft zij zich ingezet als vrijwilliger voor verschillende organisaties en als oprichtster/bestuur van het LHBTIQ+ personeelsnetwerk van haar vorige werkgever. Sinds januari 2025 ondersteunt zij Lawyers for Lawyers in haar missie om over de hele wereld veilig het belangrijke beroep advocaat te kunnen beoefenen, zonder vrees voor vervolging.
Vivian joined the Utrecht office in May 2024 and deals with a wide range of civil law issues, with an emphasis on employment law disputes and corporate legal advice. Her experience as a junior civil-law notary in commercial real estate transactions and large Due Diligence/KYC inquiries and as self-employed Legal Counsel at a large financial institution/mortgage lender gives her a keen analytical yet pragmatic perspective when dealing with a variety of issues. Vivian is happy to work out solutions with you and sees both the legal points to consider in your next move and the overarching consequences, while working towards the commercial solution with a people-oriented approach and an eye for detail and the bigger picture.
Born and raised in the vicinity of Bonn, Germany, Vivian also speaks German and can also assist German clients in their familiar language. She has lived in the Netherlands since 2008 and she has enjoyed living in Utrecht, now in the heart of the city centre, since 2014. She can often be found here running, on a terrace or at friends' homes cooking and dining together. As community involvement is very important to Vivian, in her student days she served on various committees of the law student associations and supported matching days at her university. She is now active in the Young Bar and in 2024 she chaired the SJBN Congress Committee, organising a congress for around 1,000 young lawyers. She has also volunteered for various organisations and as a founder/board member of her former employer's LGBTIQ+ staff network. Since January 2025, she has supported Lawyers for Lawyers in their mission to enable lawyers around the world to safely practise the important profession of law without fear of prosecution.
